Sylvester Stallone wins copyright infringement case

Sylvester Stallone has reportedly won a copyright infringement case filed against him for stealing the plot for 'The Expendables' from another screenwriter Marcus Webb.
Allegations:
Corporate speechwriter Marcus Webb, writer of The Cordoba Caper, alleged that Stallone's super action heros film borrowed heavily from his own script, a claim Stallone denies. He says ”Stallone's Expendables screenplay had 20 "striking similarities" to his own, The Cordoba Caper. Stallone admits the theme is based on a different script entitled Barrow by David Callahan, but that he has never seen Webb's. (Callahan is credited as co-writer on the final Expendables script.)
Similarities:
The similarities between Webb's and Stallone's scripts are striking at first glance.
The Cordoba Caper involves the adventures of highly trained soldiers of fortune, employed by a wealthy benefactor to take out a ruthless tyrant engaged in genocidal programs related activities. This obviously bears a striking resemblance to the plot of The Expendables, right down to the 'rescuing a young woman' subplot. The only problem? It also sounds a lot like about 500 other action films.
Judgment:
The judge agreed that the plot points used in both films were "simple stock devices that are standard in action movies." Even The Expendables' most solid similarity to The Cordoba Caper - the villain in both stories is named 'General Garza' – was dismissed as such. "As defendants point out," Rakoff said, "Garza is a common Hispanic surname."
why it may not be copied?
Webb's script was never picked up for development. He submitted it to several amateur screenwriting contests, none of which he won, prompting to note that, "It would require almost endless speculation" to conjure up the means by which Stallone would have laid eyes on it and used it in his film.
verdict: The Cordoba Caper is a story written by Marcus Webb. It is neither made into a film nor developed completely to be used as a screen play. So the probability is too narrow to say Stallone copied it down.

Manasantha nuvve(2001)-‘chepana prema’ song copied
MOVIE : Manasantha Nuvve(2001)
CAST : Uday Kiran, Reemasen
DIRECTOR: V.N.Adithya
MUSIC : R.P.Patnaik
The song ‘Chepana prema’ from the movie Manasanta nuvve(2001) was a huge hit when the movie released and it became a humming tune to many and played a crucial role in the movie success. It was a melodious tune well complemented by the lyrics. Not just the movie, it even stabilized the position of R.P.Patnaik as a sensible music director.
But the actual story is that , It was a balant lift from "Dov'è l'amore" (Italian pronunciation: [doˈvɛ laˈmoːɾe]; English: Where's the Love), the fourth international single by American singer-actress Cher from her twenty-third studio album, Believe, released on July 6, 1999.
But the song isn’t copied with the high pitch fast beat rather converted into a melody-mixed slow beat tune. R.P.Patnaik once again showed his interest in slow melodies while the original one was a disco-dance song.(if you are youth ,u gonna definitely like the original as it is fast paced & pumps up our body).
P.S: Had you noticed that the background track played in the movie ‘Dhee(2007)’ during the introduction scene of genilia(dancing on bed) is none other than ‘Dov'è l'amore’.
Now CCR Gonna 'REVEAL' it for you the original song of ‘chepana prema’

Sisindri(1995)-‘chinni tandri’ song copied(Nov14-spL)
The song ‘chinni tandri’ from the movie sisindri(1995) is one of the most melodious and ‘maternity’ song in telugu. Whenever and wherever we listen to this song it gonna definitely melt our hearts and reminds us of our mom.
But unfortunately this lovely tune is not an original composition by the music director of movie- Raj. Don’t get confused him to be koti. Raj and koti are two different persons who formed a band ‘Raj-koti’ and composed music under its name. But the music to this movie was composed by Raj alone.
The original song is "Sweet Lullaby" which is a world music/ethnic electronica song by Deep Forest.
Ofcourse its a balant copy, Ofcourse its a rip-off without credits to the original but one thing that's true, ‘raj’ has shown us the taste of mom’s love and care by this inspiration. Thanks to him regarding this. But its not a good practice to stole someone's creativity and show-up as ones own creation.
P.S: as per Wiki-sisindri(1995) is a remake of Hollywood film Baby's Day Out (1994). Don’t know whether the copyrights are taken.(mostly NO as our directors don't take rights from Hollywood- rather directly rip it off)
CCR gonna reveal the original song of sisindri.

Ghajini Movie Blind Man Scene Copied
Movie : Ghajini
Director : A. R. Murugadoss
The blockbuster Indian Trilingual movie ‘Ghajini’ has been critically acclaimed for its new kind of storyline and uneven screenplay. It made a mark on indian cinema in terms of critics and collections after its remake in bollywood post its successful franchise in TAMIL and TELUGU.
Although it has been alleged for copying the movie from Hollywood movie ‘Memento(2000)’, frankly speaking its just an inspiration at peeks. How many of you have seen ‘Memento’,even after watching it How many of you can clearly grasp the entire plot of the movie . The answer could be very few because the Screenplay isn't a conventional style. The movie has a duel Screenplay, first of its kind in Hollywood, of which one goes forward while other comes backward. It requires a repeated screening of the film to get a clear clarity. Well after all its a typical ‘Christopher Nolan’ Master piece.
But our ghajini is beautifully scripted with a cute lovestory and uneven screenplay. only the storyline , protagonist appearance ,polaroid's and the plot are inspired and presented in a spectacular style. Remember its not always easy to make a master piece from a master piece. Kudos A. R. Murugadoss.
Well coming to the above mentioned scene, its copied from a French movie ’Amelie’(2001)
P.S: Coincidentally the background music from the below scene has been copied by pritam for BURFII(2012).
CCR gonna reveal the copied blind man scene from ‘Ghajini’

This 'Catchy' and 'trendy' song composed by Chakri was an instant hit as soon as the movies audio hit the stores. It became a 'humming' tune to many. If you think Chakri 'Came up' with a good one ,You got it absolutely wrong but actually he 'Copied down' a good one .
