Chatrapathi(2005) Theme Song Copied from a german Game

                                           Theme music ‘Agni skalana’ from the movie Chatrapathi(2005) has a haunting rhythm and a bizarre beats,discreet from typical Keeravani TradeMark style. Its goes in tandem with heavy and high pitch beats which stands out as the soul of the song. There is a mellow of sadness to the tone and the tenor as the chorus of Keeravani, Mathangi, Mangari dole out some wonderful extreme playback.This Extreme music is well complemented by the lyrics and fits exactly to the Powerful Protagonist Prabhas. All these factors played a key role in making it one of the cult theme song ever composed in tollywood.

                      

                But the real fact is that , It is ripped off from the theme music of a german video game  Myst IV: Revelation which is the fourth installment in the Myst computer game series, developed and published by Ubisoft and released on September 28,2004.

 

                  Jack Wall composed, conducted, and produced the music for Revelation; the game was his second game score, following the music for Myst III: Exile.Wall was initially a sound engineer and producer,the success and recognition of Exile's score landed Wall the job of writing Revelation's music with a budget of $100,000—twice the amount he had worked with for Exile.

                   And our great composer Keeravani, Senior most music director of tollywood, just xeroxed the music and used it in native style. One can undoubtedly call it a balant copy. 

 

P.S: The interesting story about this lift is that it hasn't been revealed until 2008(movie was released in 2005). One more interesting aspect is that This song is the root for the revealing of many other copycat songs in tollywood from other languages i.e(people started doubting our composers and started exposing the copycatworks )

Rebel(2012)-Google Search Song COPIED

                    The Recent Action Blast of Prabhas 'REBEL' hasn't yielded the expected success to the 'REBEL STAR'. Coming to the music of the movie ,its better not to talk much about it. The choreographer turned Actor turned Director turned Music Director has given few vague beats for film. I think you felt so awful to read these many 'Turns' in a sentence, then how can the audience digest him in these many Avatars. He made it clear by composing music thyself  and making it a disastrous audio in prabhas career.
                    Even though the songs aren't great or catchy ,the interesting thing is that he ripped off the 'Google Search lona' song from a Latin pop song 'Mambo number 5' composed by LOU BEGA.
